Queering the Male Gaze // OUT NOW!
Exploring the stories of Women and Queer Individuals in Art History through Self-Portraiture and Essay // Shipping Worldwide
This is the second printing of the book: 9inX12in, linen hardcover, inset cover image and red foil stamping, with 130 full color pages of the sassiest, gayest content imaginable, including a forward by Jonathan Van Ness from Netflix’s Queer Eye and over 50 self-portrait art recreations.
Like many of you around the world, I have experienced a sudden loss of work as a result of she-who-shall-not-be-named. At first I was super distraught and panicking, but then I decided to commit myself to finishing this project. I set out to create this compilation last year, and was sidetracked by work, depression, you name it. BUT I FINALLY FINISHED IT & I can’t wait to share it with you.
This book is the culmination of the last four years of work I’ve put into creating #KindaSuperArtHistory on social media, sharing little known stories of Femme and Queer people like us. I am so proud of these portraits and the accompanying essays. This series was born from the beautiful discourse we have shared, and I really hope this will bring joy and levity to all of you art angel cuties out there during this really effed up time.
